Chief Ryan Miller is a
23-year veteran of the Nevada Department of Public Safety. During his tenure,
he has moved through the ranks and served in a variety of assignments within
the Division of Parole and Probation, the Office of Professional Responsibility
(Internal Affairs), and the Investigation (Detective) Division.
In his current position as
the administrator of the Investigation Division, Chief Miller is responsible
for all operational and administrative functions of the Investigation Division
including Major Crimes, Narcotics Enforcement, Homeland Security, and the
SafeVoice Support Center. Chief Miller has a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal
Justice Degree and successfully completed the Naval Post-Post Graduate School
for Homeland Defense and Security – Fusion Center Leaders Program and the
Delung Organizational Leadership for Law Enforcement Executives Course. Chief
Miller helped establish the Nevada SafeVoice Program which has become an
important part of the of the school safety apparatus and is an appointed member
of the Nevada Committee on Statewide School Safety, the Nevada Resilience
Advisory Committee, and the Rocky Mountain Information Network’s Executive
Policy Board.
